Dr Irwin Kaur and DSP Dr Sheetal Singh, on Monday inspected firecracker godowns to ensure strict compliance with the directions issued by the Punjab Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SDM Kaur said that no instance of unauthorised firecracker storage was detected during the inspections. She clarified that only permitted green crackers would be allowed for sale and use, subject to the prescribed guidelines. Such crackers must not contain barium salts or compounds of antimony, lithium, mercury, arsenic, lead or strontium chromate. No person without a valid licence would be allowed to sell firecrackers, and strict action would be taken against violators.
