During Saturday\u2019s inspections, no instance of illegal firecracker storage was detected, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"904\" height=\"850\" src=\"https:\/\/kptnews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/IMG_20261009_125425-55.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-939\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kptnews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/IMG_20261009_125425-55.jpg 904w, https:\/\/kptnews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/IMG_20261009_125425-55-300x282.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kptnews.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/IMG_20261009_125425-55-768x722.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SDM said that, in accordance with the state government\u2019s directions, the manufacture, stocking, distribution, sale and use of joint firecrackers, including firecracker garlands (laries), were prohibited across Punjab. He clarified that only permitted green crackers, which do not contain barium salts or compounds of antimony, lithium, mercury, arsenic, lead or strontium chromate, would be allowed for sale and use, subject to the prescribed guidelines. No person without a valid licence would be allowed to sell firecrackers.
